Heavy 2-Piece brass shell with thick soldered bearing edges.
Overall in very good condition. The snare is original and in complete working order.
We did not clean the shell or hardware.
Bearing edges & shell interior are clean and original. Modern heads fit on nicely.
Nickel finish shows standard signs of use & age. Patina, scuffs, scratches, and some finish loss on parts of the stainer and tension rods.
Some minor cosmetic dents around. Nothing that impacts hardware or the edges.
Hardware is in very good working order.
Original strainer is fluid, adjusts nicely & stays engaged while playing.
Tension rods, clips, and rims are original.
Snare wires are modern reproductions.
These shells are notorious as some of Ludwig's best, and this is no exception. Structurally sound, complete, and ready to go.
