1940's Slingerland 'Super Gene Krupa' Solid Maple 7"x14 Radio King WMP Snare Drum

The version of the Cloud Badge dates this drum between 1937 & 1943
Solid one-piece maple shell is in very good condition. Bearing edges are original & clean
Modern heads fit snug on this drum but seat nicely.
There is some common reinforcement-ring separation on the batter side.
WMP has aged evenly. Wrap is holding nicely at the seam & free of cracks/splits.
The finish shows some signs of aging including yellowing around the drum along with some scratches & scuffs.
The handle/adjustment piece on the strainer is not original. Strainer system works properly on both ends. This system historically features limited range, but you have enough range to have the wires completely disengaged or nice and snug with adjustments on both ends.
Chrome over brass hoops are from the 1950's.
There is a mix of chrome and nickel lugs on the drum, all in good working order.
The lugs on this drum are original and show some pitting and signs of aging. Clamshell strainer is chrome and works very well. It adjusts nicely and stays in place.
Original extended radio king wires missing one strand.
Complete and ready to go.
