6.5x15 - US Military drum
Very good condition. Appears to be all original with the possible exception of the calf heads.
Shell is nearly 1" thick with clean original bearing edges and snare beds.
Wooden lugs are intact and working well. Free of cracks.
Strainer adjusts nicely.
Wood hoops are in round. The batter side shows splits around hoop that were glued at some point. Snare side hoop is excellent.
We put marginal tension on the calf heads and hoops. They held just fine. However this is not a drum that is meant for higher tension.
We acquired this from the family member of a World War 2 Veteran
