1960's Rogers Louie Bellson Twin Bass Outfit
This Kit was purchased together by the original owner in the early 60's here in Rochester NY. It is in exceptional vintage condition.

The original blue sparkle finish is in excellent condition. Bright and vibrant, free of any splits or cracks. All the seams are holding tight without any pulling.
Structurally the kit is rock solid. All of the shells are in round and free of any extra holes. Bearing edges are clean and heads fit on properly. Previous owner repainted a small portion of the bearing edge on the 16", can be seen in the photos. The edge is clean and in very good condition.
Outside of the bottom head on the 16" all the rest are original to the kit.
All of the hardware on the kit is original and in good working order. Tall boy hoops on the rack toms are clean. Bowtie T-rods and claws are in beautiful shape. Bread & butter lugs are all intact and working. Machined collets are clean and work well. One of the swivomatic tom arms has a very slight bend and take a bit of effort to get it in place.
Cosmetically the kit looks very good. The chrome is clean with some standard wear from use and age. Some fine cleaning scratches and pitting on the floor tom leg mounts. The wraps show minimal scratches and scuffs. Some tape residue on the top of one bass hoop. B & B lugs show typical splits but are currently all holding well and fully functional.
This is a beautiful example of a Covington built Rogers drums.
