1920's Ludwig "Dance" Model Snare Drum

Heavy 2-Piece brass shell with thick welded bearing edges. 6 lug model.

Drum is fitted with early 60's Ludwig nickel over brass hoops and 60's Ludwig tension rods. Ready to go without having to worry about the fragility and limited tuning range of clips and single flange hoops.

Shell is in round and bearing edges on the drum look good. Modern heads fit on the drum with no issues.

Throw off and butt are era correct and in good working order. The adjustment knob on the throw is a modern replacement as are the screws on the butt plate. Tube lugs are original and are in good working order. New Canopus snare wires.

The nickel finish is in very good condition. Minimal surface wear is present around the shell and hoops. Surface scuffs/scratches, minor cosmetic denting, and signs of use/age

These shells are notorious as some of Ludwig's best drums, and this is no exception. Structurally sound, complete, and ready to go.
