1920's Ludwig All Metal Snare Drum
5 x 14 - 10 lug
Heavy 2-Piece nickel brass shell with thick soldered bearing edges.
Overall this piece is in very good condition. The snare is in complete working order and has aged nicely.
Hardware is all in very good working order. Featuring new replacement nickel clips, freshly re-chromed heavy duty chrome over brass single flanged hoops, original tube lugs, and original strainer with replacement arm. Throw off works beautifully. Adjusts smoothly and clicks into place.
The nickel finish is clean with some standard signs of use & age. Surface wear, mild cosmetic dents and dings, scratches, and patina are present around the drum.
The shell is in round and takes modern Remo heads nicely. Edges are clean and even with a few very minor superficial dimples.
These shells are notorious as some of Ludwig's best, and this is no exception. Structurally sound, complete, and ready to go.
