1960's Rogers 'Headliner' Red Sparkle 20/12/16 Drum Kit

Early 60's Rogers Holiday 'Headliner" In Red Sparkle. Built by hand in beautiful Covington Ohio.

Structurally the drums are in very good condition. Kit is free of modifications and is in good working order.

Original wrap is clean and holding nicely at the seams. Finish is free of splits and is vibrant throughout the kit. Each drum shows some surface scuffs & scratches. Most notably on the 16" below the muffler and on the back panel of the 12". There is just a touch of pulling at one of the lugs on the 12" that is shown in the photos, very minor.

The hardware appears to be all original and in good working order. Chrome is in good used condition. Tall boy hoops on the 16 show some speckled surface pitting and remnants of rust. Hardware shows typical signs of use and age. Scratches, scuffs, and speckled pitting.

All of the collects are machined and in good working order.

Bread & butter lugs show typical splits but are all currently holding nicely. According to the previous owner, at least a dozen of the lugs were professionally repaired by Covington Drum Works.

Shells are in round and take modern heads nicely. Original paper tags are intact. The interiors of the 12 & 16 are very clean. The resonant side bearing edge of the bass drum shows scuffs & scratches along with some minor dings to the shell and edge. Most likely the drum was played without a front head. Drums tune up nicely.

Bass drum hoops were re-painted at some point.
