Overall this drum is in very good vintage condition. Structurally sound and in complete working order.

Serial 230129 dates this drum to 1965. A date stamp is present but is illegible

The finish is clean and vibrant. The wrap tucks neatly into the scarf joint, is holding nicely at the seam, and is free of any splits & cracks. Very gently but even aging to the wrap.

Bearing edges are clean and the interior of the drum is in excellent condition. Batter side bearing edge was modified slightly. Features a beautiful factory-esque rounded 45 degree edge. Modern Remo heads fit on easily and it tunes nicely. Original badge & grommet are firmly in place.

Original chrome hardware is all in good working order. P-83 adjusts smoothly and works well. There is a slight bend in the arm of the unit, which does not alter the functionality. White felt baseball bat muffler is complete and in working order. Overall the chrome is clean and looks good. The hoops show some minor speckled pitting and remnants of removed rust in the flanges of the hoops. Some minimal but standard signs or wear/age on the chrome.

Original wires are in place with one missing wire and some slight bending.

This is a classic Ludwig snare drum in well kept condition. Ready to get back to work.
