1970's Ludwig Maple Cortex Big Beat Drum Set

3-ply shell with natural lacquered interior.

Overall the kit is in good used condition. Structurally sound and fully functional, a nice players kit. No extra holes.

Wrap is in good condition and holding tight at the seam. The finish is in clean condition with minor scuffs & scratches on each drum.

Hardware is in good working condition. Some speckled pitting & rust along with scratches and scuffs is present on the rims and some of the lugs. Most of the rims and tension rods on the toms are modern replacements.

Bass drum had velcro strips and black duct tape on the interior of the drum and had seen some internal moisture at some point. The shell was cleaned properly, sanded gently, and re-lacquered. It is in-round, takes modern heads easily, and tunes like a breeze. There is no structural damage. Internal screws show some rust and oxidation. All in good working order.

Bass drum hoops are aftermarket.

The resonant bearing edge on the 12" has some wear on the outside, drum takes modern heads and tunes nicely. All of the other bearing edges are in nice clean condition.

Kit is complete and in good working condition.
