Serial KJ dates this beauty to March of 1984. 

Overall this drum is in very good used condition. 

Structurally it is in very good working condition. Bearing edges are clean and true. Heads fit on easily. 

Featuring a Yamaha cast aluminum batter hoop. Chrome hardware is clean and works well. The throw off adjust properly as does the butt end. There is a little bit of play in the strainer arm, which from my experience is somewhat common with this model.  

Minor pitting on the hoop and some standard but minimal signs of use & age around the hardware. Surface scratches & scuffs and speckled starlight pitting. 

There is some light surface wear in parts of the finish. Minor scuffs, surface dings, and indentations. Please see all of the photos. Overall the finish looks very good.

Proper wires are in place and in excellent shape. Not sure if they are original.  
 
Complete and ready to go. A fine example of 80's Yamaha quality and style.
